Just marry me already (Reiner x Christa)

He liked her, but did she like him? She never really showed any signs that she has feelings for him. Most of her time she would be spending time with Ymir, one of her closets friends. It was obvious Ymir had strong feelings for Christa, and Christa herself might even like Ymir back, seeing how they get along quite so well. He wasn't jealous though. He had no reason to. After all, he didn't really talk to her, nor ever try to engage in a conversation with her. But his lithe crush for her was something he just couldn't resist. Her pale skin, blonde hair, large blue eyes and petite size. Not to mention she had the most kind and gentle personality from all the people in the trainee squad. She was just so cute in every perspective. Ever since he saw the sun shine on her during the 57th expedition, all he could think was "I want to marry her".

He hasn't told anyone about this. After all, what was the point in telling anyone? He was a prideful man who had no interest in finding someone to love. His main goal was just to keep himself alive, not try to engage in some romance with someone. It just wasn't his thing to try to find love. However, this didn't stop him from thinking such things though. After admiring her beauty, he can already imagine trying to talk to her. He imagined the setting in a stable, a somewhat weird place to try to make friends with someone. But Chirsta has a charisma for both humans and animals, and that's all that mattered. He can already see her petting a horse in the most sincere matter. The horse itself would have a curve up its mouth, as if it itself was happy by her presence.

"Um, Christa?" Reiner would say in a quite nervous tone. He would try his best to not stutter nor mess up, or say anything stupid. He was here to impress her, not to make a fool out of himself. With her gentle gaze, she would look at Reiner with the most angelic view.

"Ah, Reiner! How are you?" Christa would say sincerely. Just the sound of her voice made Reiner feel butterflies in his stomach. Damn, how he just wanted to leave out of embarrassment and think about his decision for a second time. It was too late now, and now he had to talk to this goddess-like person. There was no time to regret now, and now he has to work this heat up.

"I've been good actually." Reiner said. "I've been working hard as always, and also trying to keep all the guys in line." Yes, that seemed like a good response to her question. Not too wimpy, yet not too conceited. Just right enough to seem decent and well.

"That's wonderful to hear. I'm really glad the guys have you to depend on." Christa compliment Reiner. "I really do admire that trait of yours."His face would burn slightly from such flattery she gave him. Wasn't she just so cute? It was official, he had to marry this woman. Not wanting to marry her, but marrying her! She was just about right for him in so many ways, a perfect match for a man like him. This was his chance now, a perfect chance to confess her his hidden feelings for him.

"Anyways, there was been something I've been meaning to tell you for some time…" Reiner said in a mixed tone of seriousness and embarrassment. Christa suddenly stopped petting the horse, and looked a little frightened. After all, there were all kinds of possibilities Reiner would have wanted to say to her. But that wasn't Reiner's intentions. He had something quite in store for her.

"I think you're really pretty…."

A crimson blush appeared on Christa's face. She was at loss to such words she was just told. Her really pretty? Not to mention she was told this by such a handsome man she rarely even paid attention too. She started looking at all directions nervously, trying to find a response to give back.

"I-I-I am so flatt-"

"Just marry me already!"

Silenced filled the stable between the two of them. Christa being utterly embarrassed and Reiner being angry at himself for making a fool of himself. He took things a step too far. His plan was to only confess his feelings for her, not tell her to marry her already. But of course he does want to marry her, but asking her suddenly was not the right approach for such things.

"I-I'm sorry for scarring you. I'll leave you alone the-"

"Oh Reiner!" Christa screamed in excitement. "Reiner…Reiner…"

"Reiner….Reiner", Bertholdt shook Reiner. Reiner was finally back from his little unknown paradise. It was only his imagination? "R-Reiner, are you alright? You were looking at Christa quite oddly while smirking in an awfully happy manner", Berholdt told Reiner. Reiner was embarrassed. How did he let his ego go down easily? How did he end up daydreaming about Christa in an open place? Not only did he just humiliate himself, but he basically thought of something taboo: gaining feelings for someone else. For now, he had to get out of this situation with Bertholdt first, then smack himself mentally in the head. He regained his serious composure back.

"…It's nothing. I was just having some weird ideas in my head." Reiner said while folding his arms across his chest. Bertholdt scratched his head and had a sweat bead form on his head, indicting that he felt awkward about the whole situation. Of course he had an idea that Reiner had some sort of feelings for Christa. He was his best friend after all.

"You know Reiner, you can always talk to me about anything you know? You know I wouldn't tell anyone." Bertholdt told Reiner while looking at the other side of the table. He couldn't even look Reiner in the eyes anymore.

"I already said it, it was nothing!" Reiner argued. He slammed the table in frustration, making Berthodlt wince from sudden shock. "Just forget it, I am going back to the dorms." Reiner left the dorm, leaving Bertholdt all alone.
